Virgil was born in Lexington, Kentucky and was raised around farms and an agriculture equipment business near Danville, Kentucky. After graduating from the University of Louisville in 1967, he was commissioned a Marine Corps officer, and served 11 years including tours in the Republic of Vietnam, Southeast Asia, Okinawa, the Philippines, Virginia, District of Columbia and Oklahoma. He was last stationed in Tulsa, Oklahoma as an Inspector-Instructor for a Marine Corps Reserve Unit. It was in Tulsa that Virgil decided to seek a law degree.
Sheridan has been home to Virgil since 1982. He is a general practice attorney with experience and interest in business organization and counsel, estate planning, trust administration, probate, criminal defense, small district formation and operation, agriculture, construction and family law.
Virgil balances his law practice while enjoying family, history, wildlife, hunting, horses and anything related to the historical development of the states of Wyoming and Montana.
